Working

Desks come in all shapes and sizes, but we spend so much time sitting at them – what better piece of furniture to invest a little time and effort into designing?

A desk with a view

Curvaceous desk

Our client wanted an individual desk that fits neatly into a window bay overlooking the garden. A curvaceous, organic walnut top was given even more wow factor with elegant flared trestle legs. It’s comfortable to work at, wonderful to look at, and has the best view in the house.

The tall desk

A client who is 6ft 5in wanted a desk made to measure for his height, to work in a home office mainly furnished in black ash. Their house is a lovely combination of grand Edwardian villa and contemporary interiors, so the design had to fit right in.

LiftUpDesk2

Despite its extra height, the solution has a feeling of lightness thanks to the ‘floating’ design of the desk top above the legs. Bringing old-school lift-up desk design right up to date, the clever desk top conceals simple and functional storage space as well as open storage areas.
